About Adrienne

Artistic expression is my lifeline. I express myself through singing,  participating in drama, photography, designing, creating artwork, or figuring out how to develop a new business or product.

What is my point of origin?
I have had a primary home in the woods up in Talkeetna, Alaska, since 1993. This is my sanctuary and where I work on much of my art. I was born on the East coast of Florida and later moved to Washington and up to Alaska. Growing up my family lived primarily in New Jersey, New York, D.C., and Florida's Merritt Island. As a child my parents and I visited the East coast yearly and because my mother was a travel agent I had the great fortune of seeing much of the world.  Today I still travel extensively and go back to Florida and the East coast yearly.

I grew up taking art courses and competing in art shows and I have been selling art from a young age. As a young person I enjoyed participating in drama and singing has been a daily staple for me for as long as I can remember. My experience in oils, acrylics, charcoals, and watercolors has brought a lot of commission work in advertising and marketing for proprietary businesses and events over the years starting in my elementary years.

-Two Dimensional Artwork-
My spirit lies with my artistic expression and my soul lies with Nature and Wildlife, so much of my wall and three-dimensional artwork will reflect animals, nature, and spirituality.
You will see in my 2-dimensional and multimedia work of charcoals, oils, and water-based paints that I want to deliver my embodiment into wildlife and my spiritualism of the elements that are life. I want them to touch you somewhere deep with the hopes of stirring up your own wildlife force or Universal Connection. I see strength, wisdom, cunning, and a powerful heart, and I covet the beauty in their freedom when I look at a wild animal or gaze across a great valley or even a small marsh. I feel that we as mankind won't stop destroying this pure and honest life force because it is the Heaven to the Hell of Greed. Ultimately Heaven will win over Hell at some point in time with a high price.

 -Mask Making-
In 1988 I started making high dollar collectible wall art and wearable masks. This was a part of my developing costume design phase. However, my masks emerged their own specialty and collector following to include commissions all over the United States. For 10 years the masks were sold in the New Orleans French Quarter in the cities most renowned mask makers shop, Mike Stark, in New Orleans and they have found followings in Washington, California, Palm Springs, and New York, as well as in the local Alaskan market.
My masks and headdresses can be perfect in the simplicity of straight clean cut with minimal accents or in an overbearing 7 foot by 9 foot flamboyant ostrich feathered mask or headdress dripping with thousands of beads.
I collect items from my global nature adventures to include in my nature themed masks including abandoned bird and bee nests. I collect leaves, bark, drift wood and other vegetation to dry and use in a mask, I collect my own sea shells, all types of dirt and sand or stones and place them in the work. Many of the feathers I use I collect from the wild and clean (feathers that have been shed) or I purchase from local self-sustaining farms. Exotic plummage is purchased from different suppliers in New York. For fur accents I like to use the wolf down shed I collect every spring from grooming my personal family of wolves.

-Costumes, Scarves and Hand Crafted Jewelry-
In my late teens I started my art label “Creative Culture”and I enjoyed designing and creating costumes for dancers and for the gay communities Coronations Celebrations across the nation. My costumes and wearable accessories are used in fashion shows and photo shoots. In the 1990s Nordstrom and a few of the federated department stores such as Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s carried my beaded scarves, necklaces, and other beaded jewelry. (Oh my, I love beads! If I can accessorize with beadwork, I will. I love bead worked jewelry, loom work, and bead designs on my clothing accessory merchandise, and I have to add beads to almost every multimedia wall art piece completed. )

- Photography-
-Cinematography-

Picture Perfect, I have been working behind and in front also starting in my teens.  The 80’s brought me a lot of work in shooting portfolios for aspiring  models and actors, the 90’s move me into wildlife education and nature also drawing a lot of photography.  Early 2000’s brings me into creating a production company to produce public broadcast/ cable programming on Wildlife. With my own equipment I work in front of the camera, behind the camera and into editing. The production company name is Eco-Style Producti0ns- Wild Earths Visual Voice. http://fitness-synergy.net/filmmaker.htm

2008 will bring the beginning of a new venture by combining all of the above into a Publicity company geared to market and film and promote products, services and efforts driven by or for Nature and its Wildlife.  Named “5 Points of Life”  - The Pigeon Currier.

Now- After all of that…..
Whether you adorn your wall with my work or wear it, I pray it brings you feelings of warmth and/or emotions in thought.
